Derrel’s of Pensacola is Pensacola’s only authorized Bernina dealer, offering quality sales and service to our customers in the Greater Pensacola Area, as well as Mobile, Foley and Robertsdale in Alabama. The staff at Derrel’s are always ready to help experienced and new sewers alike use their Bernina products to create unique and beautiful projects. We take great pride in our work and make customer satisfaction our first priority.

Derrel’s also proudly carries Melco Bravo industrial embroidery machines and a full library of digitized embroidery designs from OESD.  If you need sewing machines, quilting machines or embroidery machines; or if you need sewing machine repair work, embroidery software, specialty fabrics or threads, our staff of experienced sewers and trained technicians are in-store six days a week to meet all of your sewing, quilting and embroidery needs.  If it is a project involving a needle and thread, you can rest assured that the staff at Derrel’s can and will help you make it a reality.

Opened in 1950 by Pensacola entrepreneur Derrel Slaughter as “Derrel’s Sewing Machines and Vacuums,” Derrel’s was originally located at West Cervantes and “T” Street in west Pensacola, Florida.  Derrel’s opening product lineup included Swiss-made Bernina sewing machines and Hoover vacuums.  In 1983, current owner and manager Bob Gray purchased Derrel’s and relocated the store to Town and Country Plaza.  In 2001, Derrel’s stopped carrying vacuums to focus solely on sewing products. In 2005 Derrel’s moved from Town and Country Plaza to our current location in Davis Tower Plaza in the heart of Pensacola. This year, Bob celebrated his thirtieth year as the proud owner and manager of Derrel’s of Pensacola.

Though management has changed and we have moved three times over the years, Derrel’s mission remains the same as it has been since 1950: we still provide quality products and service to the Gulf Coast and beyond.
